Winter School for English-Speaking Students in SNAU
December 14, 2016 Sumy National Agrarian University hosted a unique event for English-speaking students. The aim was to give an overview of the educational process in Ukraine, to tell about its stages, as well as skills and competencies necessary for successful implementation of the educational program.
Winter School “Basic Skills and Competence for English-Speaking Students in Ukraine” is a one-day event. The participators of the event were foreign students of Sumy NAU and SSU. The Assistant Professors of Management and European integration Department Oksana Zamora and Natalia Volchenko were the lecturers. They shared all the necessary knowledge and skills on how to succeed in studying and achieve the best in their professional growth.
The main purposes of the event were the following:
- To ensure adequate and easy-to-understand information about the educational process in Ukrainian Universities, stages, mandatory rules and standards;
- Empower students with specific learning useful skills and use of certain instruments;
- To create a space for discussion and direct companionship between students and teachers;
- Encourage students to be active and work for the student community and their better professional future.
The language of the event was English.
It should also be noted that the discussion was quite interesting and active.
