Therefore, a professional holiday was transformed into a whole week of law for the Law Faculty. From Monday to Friday, students and faculty members took part in a variety of innovative events. The week began with the meeting. Students and teachers met the representatives of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in Sumy Region in the framework of the project “I Have the Right!”
The following event was the “Brain-Ring” on the topic: “The Law and Us”. It was the competition of teams, the search for answers to interesting questions that were not only a kind of a test, but an opportunity to apply logic and to form teamwork skills.
On Wednesday, an open court hearing was held under the guidance of an experienced judge, Boyko V.B., where students not only tried the mantle on, but also applied their knowledge of law in practice.
Besides, there was an open court hearing in Sumy District Administrative Court. Conducting such events is very important for future lawyers as it helps to consolidate the theoretical knowledge in practice. Conducting training trials is a widespread practice in the world and has already become a good tradition of Sumy District Administrative Court.
The culmination of the week was the concert, where the Head of the Regional State Administration Mykola Klochko congratulated the students and teachers of the Law Faculty.
The DeanSvitlana Zapara told a lot of warm words about her faculty. The teaching staff of the faculty, on the one hand, provides the students with theoretical knowledge, and on the other - gives its students the chance to apply the lessons learnt, since they have many years of legal practice in different institutions.
On the occasion of the Lawyer's Day, Mykola Klochko awarded Svitlana Zapara with the Honorary Diploma of the Head of the Regional State Administration for many years of diligent work, high professionalism, and a significant personal contribution to the development of legal education and science.
These and other events made this week incredible.
