The year 2017, which is already over, was marked by the intensification of cooperation with Chinese partners for Sumy National Agrarian University. During the year, the rector of SNAU VolodymyrLadykaundertook a visit to the People's Republic of China, as well as the representatives of the Chinese party - a follow-up visit to SNAU. Why did we interest our partners in China? First of all, it is a question of joint training of specialists, and details of it became known after another visit of the Chinese party to Sumy NAU.
The visit took place on December 20-21, 2017.
The delegation included Vice-President of Henan Science and Technology Institute Song Yawei, Director of the Development and Planning Department Chen Hongwei, Dean of the School of Natural Sciences and Technology Liu Mingjiu, Dean of the School of Livestock and Technology Hu Jianhe and Deputy Head of Foreign Affairs Li Jing.
The meeting with the participation of the rector, vice-rectors, deans and leading specialists of some departments of SNAU was dedicated to development of a strategy for cooperation.
The second half of the day was devoted to visits to the faculties, where the guests inspected the vivarium, the agility platform, equestrian club, sports complex, laboratories and lecture rooms of the law, engineering and technological,economics and management and agrotechnology and nature management faculties. In order to have a more complete idea of student life in Ukraine, members of the Chinese delegation met with students - participants of the creative teams of the university, visited the hostel No.1. A cultural program was organized for the guests - an excursion around the city center and a concert in the regional philharmonic society.
The result of the visit was the signing of a number of agreements on cooperation, which took place on December 21 in the rector's hall. The implementation of the programs envisaged by these agreements will already begin in 2018, SNAU rector VolodymyrLadyka and vice-president of the Institute of Science and Technology in Henan Song Yawei say.
The first agreement envisages the preparation of bachelors in “Veterinary Medicine” in China. Annually about 120 bachelors will obtaintheir education. To achieve thistask 16 Ukrainian teachers of the faculty of veterinary medicine will work in China, teaching the disciplines in English.
According to the terms of the second agreement, 100-150 masters of various specialties and 50-100 candidates of sciences (PhD) from the People's Republic of China will be trained at Sumy National Agrarian University. This course will also be offered in English.
One more structural agreement provides for a joint foundation by Sumy National Agricultural University and the Henan Scientific and Technical Institute (HIST) of the Sumy International College HIST, where training will be delivered in accordance with Chinese rules and regulations.
