At the end of the year, the Academic Council of Sumy National Agrarian University summed up the results of 2017. The rector of the university VolodymyrLadykamade the report on the results of the work. It didn’t only emphasized the main milestones of the past year, but also highlighted the main directions and tasks to be implemented during the next period.
According to the work plan, a number of issues were considered. The reports of the Dean of the Faculty of Law SvitlanaZapara and the Dean of the Faculty of Food Technologies OlehRadchuk about the prospects for the development of their subordinate units for the next year were made. ValeriyZhmailov, Vice-Rector for Science and Education, summed up the results of the admission process by presenting a report on the results of the admission of students in 2017. Based on the information provided by the responsible secretary of the admission committee Viktor Serhienko, the Academic Council approved the admission requirements for Sumy NAU in 2018. Also, one of the most discussed issues was the expansion of the university's scientific infrastructure, through the creation of a number of scientific laboratories. Information on this issue was made by the head of the research department Yuri Danko.
On that day, there was also a secret ballot on the award of the academic title of the Professor of justice to the Doctor of Law, MykolaKurylo, and the election of the assistant professor of the Department of Physical Education Ivan Salatenko. Both candidates were supported by the staff.
The work of the Academic Council was completed by consideration of various issues, based on the results of the methodological and scientific coordination councils of Sumy National Agrarian University.
