The main purpose of the visit was to participate in the first official meeting of the ERASMUS + project “From Theoretical Approach to Practical Training in the Agrarian Area” / TOPAS. The project is co-funded under the EU Financing Program: European Neighborhood Instrument Erasmus +.
SNAU is one of a dozenpartner-universities, and4 of them are EU universities (Germany, Great Britain, Poland and Romania).Six universities are from the CIS countries: two from Ukraine, Armenia and Uzbekistan. Sumy National Agrarian University and the National University of Biorecourses and Land Use represent Ukraine in the project. The main goal of the TOPAS project, which lasts for three years (until 2020), is the transition from frontal education based on learning to non-frontal education, that is oriented towards students and is based on acquiring practical skills in the training of specialists in the agrarian sector.
During the stay in Uzbekistan bilateral agreements were signed on cooperation with Samarkand Agricultural Institute and Andijan Agricultural Institute (Uzbekistan) as far as students and staff exchange is concerned.
