After the training of Sumy students in the PRC, a delegation led by Valeriy Zhmaylov, Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, Mykola Sokolov Vice-rector for international activity, and coordinator of international projects, Carolina Tkachenko, went to the PRC.
On the implementation of the Agreement on joint postgraduate training between Sumy National Agrarian University (Ukraine) and the Henan Institute of Science and Technology (PRC), the administration of SNAU presented the university to Chinese colleagues. It should be noted that the agreement provides for masters' training during the first year on the basis of SNAU, the next six months - conducting research in China and half-yearly preparation for defense of master's paper in Ukraine. The Chinese-Ukrainian international postgraduate school of HINT and SNAU was created at our university.
Today, 49 future undergraduates and 43 graduate students have expressed their desire to study in Ukraine. During the working meetings, lecturers of Henan Institute of Science and Technology noted that during their visit to SNAU in December 2017 they had been acquainted with the technical base and the level of training of students in Ukraine. That is why the professors of HINT are absolutely convinced that the People's Republic of China will receive highly skilled specialists who will successfully combine the best achievements of both countries.
At the same time, the Henan Institute of Science and Technology is ready to accept Sumy undergraduate students for studying. Studying in China, SNAU students will continue distant training at SNAU, thus they will receive diplomas from both universities.
The SNAU delegation visited the city administration of Xinxiang City and handed over, on behalf of the mayor of Sumy, an invitation to visit our city for the purpose of further intensification of bilateral cooperation.
