Teachers and Students of Sumy NAU Became Donors of Blood Plasma
This year, students began celebrating Halloween from the very morning, but in a very unusual way.
It has become a tradition to celebrate Halloweenat the end of October, as the onset of the dark period of the year. But our students created the idea to show everyone that even celebrating the onset of the “dark time”we can do good things.
Today, October 31, at 8:30 a.m. SNAU students and teachers gathered at Sumy Regional Center for Blood Services. Having passed several stages of a thorough health check, our 24 volunteers became donors of blood plasma.
This charity event was done to help children with cancer. In Sumy Regional Children's Clinical Hospital there is a hematologic department with 20 sick children. The plasma of SNAU donors will be able to receive the necessary help free of charge for these children. Moreover, studentsprepared sweet gifts for them, which included candies and thematic gingerbreads in the form of pumpkins specially made by the university canteen.
This charity event did not leave any of the participants indifferent and students decided to share the video news of this event in social networks. They hope, that other students of Sumy region will join this noble cause, because doing good deeds is so pleasant.
