Student Self-government Presented its First Report
The meeting ofthe members of the Student Self-Government Bodies, Olga Bozhko, the Head of the Department of Educational Work with Students, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, ValeriiZhmailov was held on February 7, an SNAU.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the final reports for the first semester and provide the plans for the second one. Students’ deans made the presentations. The results concerned the achievements in the educational sector, volunteer sector, the social and household sector, vocational guidance sector, international sector and the cultural sector.
After each report, the vice-rector asked about the influence of the Student Self-Government on those students who miss the classes. He noted that much work had been already done, but still much hadbeen left to cope with.A good example is the idea of holding such kind of meetings. Thus, the students’deans have an opportunity to evaluate the results of their work, share the experience gained and mark the future vector of development.
The Vice-Rector says that in the nearest future they have an idea to create the “School of Leaders” for the members of the Student Self-Government in order to maximize the disclosure of their leadership qualities, to help in choosing a better management strategy and spread their influence on the positive image of the university.The student rector of SNAU, OlexandrHalushko, said: “The youth, the students want to develop. I try to motivate them, to help them in the fulfillment of their plans and support them in any situations”.
